Hendry Winarto

Hendry Winarto is a world-class badminton coach and former top Indonesian junior player, reaching #1 in U19 before pursuing an international coaching career. In 2006, he moved to Spain, where he became the National Team Coach and Head Coach at IES La Orden, coaching Olympians Carolina Marin and Pablo Abian.
In the U.S., Hendry has led top badminton programs, serving as Head Coach at ClearOne Orlando and now as the Coaching Director at Peak Sports Morrisville (formerly Triangle Badminton & Table Tennis). A BWF Level 3 Certified Coach—one of only two in the U.S.—he has been the USA Head Coach for multiple World Junior Championships, Pan Am Junior, Pan Am Mixed Team, and Pan Am Games Championships from 2022 to 2024. With a proven record of developing elite athletes, Hendry stands among the most respected coaches in the country. Beyond badminton, he is also a professional pickleball player and coach, further expanding his impact on racket sports, a husband, and father of two young badminton players.
